Trinity College of Natural Health, Inc. is a non-profit, non-denominational,
Christian educational institution organized for the purpose of offering
professional programs of study in natural health. Natural health involves
the integration of the mind, body and spirit in order to produce a life lived
in harmony with the Creator and His divine plan for His creation.
Educational programs lead to such nontraditional designations as
Master Herbalist (M.H.), Certificate in Nutritional Counseling (C.N.C) and
Doctor of Naturopathy (N.D.). The College seeks to preserve the
knowledge of traditional natural health techniques which have served
mankind around the world.
CORRESPONDENCE: THE INDIVIDUALIZED LEARNING APPROACH
All work is to be completed on an individual basis which will give the
candidate the maximum flexibility for study. Each course will be mailed
to the student upon completion of the previous course. Courses are
designed to build upon the student's accumulated knowledge. A grade
of 85% is considered passing for each of the courses. The prospective
student will be admitted to the program, not on the basis of past
academic achievement, but on the prospect that the candidate can
successfully complete the course of study.
PHILOSOPHY - MENTAL, PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL APPROACH
The College is committed to a holistic understanding of man which is
taught in the Scriptures. Man has a physical body, a mind (and
emotions) and a spiritual nature. Only when he/she is capable of
developing as a total person (physically, mentally and spiritually), is
he/she capable of enjoying true health and a balanced life. For this
reason, we have chosen to name our school Trinity College of Natural
Health, Inc. The courses of study are designed to integrate the total
person in a health building lifestyle.
The school makes no apology for its stance on issues of faith, such as
the creation and nature of man, the resurrection, eternity or any other
subject which does not lend itself to double-blind studies, scientific
duplication or investigation, but are essential to the spiritual aspect of
the whole person. The institution is a member of the Christian Health
Fellowship and each of the board of directors has affirmed the statement
of faith of the Christian Health Fellowship.
Some states require a license to be involved in specific areas of the
natural health field. Trinity College of Natural Health is not designed to
provide a vocational curriculum to meet the requirement of any particular
state where a license is required. Programs of study are for personal
enrichment, self-improvement and focus on a pure, unadulterated,
natural lifestyle. Trinity College of Natural Health does not maintain a
"job placement bureau" and as such no employment is offered to those
enrolled in its educational programs.
NATUROPATHIC STUDIES
The first annotation in the dictionary defines "doctor" as a teacher. A
naturopath is a teacher of natural means for enhancing health, wellness
and longevity. Naturopathy is not a system of medicine, diagnosis or
treatments such as are held by the medical societies, but a lifestyle of
practices which builds immunity, improves mental health and enhances
body function. Our belief is that every person has the right to learn of the
natural God-given, life-enhancing practices embodied in naturopathy
which will help him/her maintain mental, physical and emotional health.
To this end, the Trinity College of Natural Health offers training which
shall first be used by the individual for his/her own personal development
after which time, at the individual's own discretion, may be used to
educate others.
Naturopathy embodies philosophies and principles involving pure water,
clean air, wholesome food, proper diet and nutrition, exercise, proper
living, appropriate rest, right thinking, absence from toxic substances,
body ecology, effective management of stress and a number of other
natural subjects which lead to a balanced living concept. Only those
who agree with this philosophy should apply to the Trinity College of
Natural Health. We believe that physical health is primarily a reflection
of God's universal law of cause and effect. A man reaps what he sows.
How we care for our bodies is both a physical and spiritual issue which
impacts our health and the health of our offspring. In cases where health
principles have been violated the only true "cure" is for the body to
restore its own protective mechanisms by removing those physical and
spiritual roadblocks which hinder proper restoration and/or healing.
