Lactobacillus Sporogenes, a
clinically documented resident PRO-BIOTIC for nutritional use.
(resident is a friendly bacteria that can reproduce within your
organism)
The term, probiotic, derived
from the Greek "for life" was introduce by Lilly and Stillwell
in 1965 to describe growth-promoting factors produced by
micro-organisms. Recently, the term probiotic has been used to
describe "friendly or beneficial bacteria"! So, the
probiotic or beneficial bacterial resides primarily and multiplies
predominately in the gastro-intestinal and female reproductive tracts.
These friendly bacteria begin colonizing in a matter of hours or days
after our birth. These again are "resident" organisms.
From the beginning, they play an
important role in our digestive and metabolic processes. Based
on accelerated stability tests, Lactobacillus Sporogenes was first
isolated and described in 1993 by Russian Scientists L.. M. Wassowal
and N. W. Nowotelnow and and proliferates within the gastro-intestinal
tract in a non-invasive way, characteristic of beneficial
gastro-intestinal residents like Lactobacillus Sporogenes,
Lactobacillus Acidophilus and Bifidus. Once again, these
are resident micro-organisms. This formulation, added to Mind
and Body Formula has a shelf life of at least 3 years.*
BACILLUS LATEROSPORUS B.O.D. ™
strain
Bacillus Laterosporus BOD™
is different in that is known as a
transient micro-organism.
Here is the difference between a
transient and resident micro-organism. The
resident micro-organism reproduces in it's host's system. The
transient micro-organism comes to visit for a while and then is
either replaced from outside sources or dies and is eliminated.
that little transient micro-organism will be known in the future as
non-resident soil based organism (also known as
homeostatic soil-based organisms)
The transient non
resident soil based organism sets up little colonies for brief period
of time before dying off or being flushed from the intestinal system
via normal digestive processes, or by peristaltic bowel action.
In taking up residence temporarily, they contribute to the overall
function and condition of the digestive system. Let us take an
example to better clarify our case.
The lives of some of the
most important resident micro-organisms involved in human digestion
and intestinal health depend upon by-products produced by
those transient or visiting micro-organisms, also known as
non-resident soil based organisms.
These two very different
micro-organisms, (transient and resident) enjoy a complex and
mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship. This all
important relationship may dramatically influence the health and
well-being of your entire body.*
Bacillus Laterosporus
(B.O.D.™
Strain) is one of the most enigmatic of the transient (non
resident soil based organisms) found in the human gastrointestinal
tract. Bacillus Laterosporus (B.O.D.™
strain) is a spore bearing bacteria. This enables the
encased spore to survive the stomach acids. The full benefit of
Bacillus Laterosporus (B.O.D.™
strain) is a spore bearing bacteria. This enables the
encased spore to survive the stomach acids. In this way, the
full benefit of Bacillus Laterosporus (B.O.D.™
strain) should bloom and flourish in the colon and establish
colonies that will enhance your immune system.*
Just as earth has been known to
hold an abundance of life forms, sometimes existing harmoniously.
Other times, the earth and its life forms are struggling fitfully, so
too do these non resident soil based organisms struggle against
pathogenic organisms in our G.I. tract to help balance the thousands
of billions of living micro-organisms that co-exist within us.
This vast internal ecosystem,
called by many researchers our "human intestinal flora," dramatically
influences and to a certain degree, even directs all of our personal
state of health and well-being -- including our physical and
mental health AND our metabolism.
More than 400 distinct species
of micro-organisms inhabit the various regions of our human digestive
tract. This makes up nearly four pounds of every individual's
total body weight. This vast population of micro-organisms far
exceeds the number of tissue cells that comprise the human body.*
When functioning properly, this
vast unseen world can be expected to do the following:
-
Help guard our body/ies against
unfriendly bacteria
-
helps in the function of the
digestive system
-
Maintains our body/ies vital
chemical and hormone balance
-
Performs a vast number of needed
tasks for maintaining high energy levels, proper immune function
