Stairway to Health®, in agreement with many other promoters of high protein and fat diet.  Stairway to Health® suggests no more than 6 bread units or 72 grams of  carbohydrates daily.  In fact, Stairway to Health recommends 5 bread units or 60 grams of carbohydrates daily.

This recommendation is given based on documentation as set forth by the Drs, Eades in Protein Power Plan, Dr.  Wolfgang Lutz, M.D., Christian B. Allan, Ph.D at 72 grams or 6 BU's daily in "LIFE WITHOUT BREAD" in addition to Dr. Atkins.

Additionally, many other health care providers over the years, have extrolated from their own experiences and those of their patients or clients that protein and fat are decidedly a better form of nutrition.  Additionally, Dr. Weston Price, DDS observed   societies that isolated themselves from modern food types had better dental arches, facial structure and longer life expectancies until they began consuming western type foods.

Stairway to Health® uses Dr. Melvin Page's Fundamental Diet Plan, Phase I as a good guideline for dietary purposes.  Additionally, Stairway to Health® has prepared a growing list of recipes.  Many of these recipes are raw and most highly recommended by Stairway to Health® for daily consumption.  Many of these recipes are also cooked for modern man has grown fond of the cooked foods on which he has existed for years.  But Stairway to Health® always stands firm in it's belief that raw and rare foods should wisely be used by all mankind.  The cooked recipes do, however replace normal high carbohydrate grain based ingredients with the use of lower carbohydrate foods.

Stairway to Health® non-heat cooked foods.  It is recommended that Energizing foods with Grander Technology in addition to the application of safe non toxic anti bacterial agents like Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, lemon and lime juices be used to "cook" the foods without heat.  In fact, the use of Grander Technology is recommended to protect all foods to the highest energizing degree is recommended by Stairway to Health®.
